Attest Services
An audit offers the highest degree of assurance regarding financial statements. As a result, an audit is often preferred by third parties, such as bankers, other credit grantors, bonding companies and managers.

During an audit we examine the company's financial statements in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards, and express our opinion as to whether the statements are fairly presented in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

We have specialists who can provide a complete range of audit services for corporate, governmental and non-profit agencies.
  • Financial statement audits
  • Compliance audits (including A-128 and A-133)
  • Operational or performance audits
  • Agreed upon procedures; individual review of special areas such as inventories, receivables and cash.
  • Fraud investigation and litigation support

Our audit staff is experienced in the following industries:
  • Non-profit Agencies
  • Healthcare Providers
  • Housing Authorities
  • Manufacturing
  • Service Organizations
  • Voluntary Health & Welfare

Business Valuations
Business valuations play a part in many activities: adding new owners, or buying out existing ones; estate planning, buying or selling a business, divorces, settling an estate, setting up a family partnership.

For small, non-public companies, this can be especially difficult.  No ready market exists to determine the value, and there are the added problems of minority discounts and lack of liquidity to consider.

Our staff has been trained in doing valuations of closely held businesses and can help you determine these values, using techniques suitable to your purpose and business.

Controller for a Day
On many occasions, such as when a business is newly formed or is going through transition, a business financial and accounting needs assessment may be necessary.

In some situations, a business owner knows his business very well, but may need assistance with the record keeping, bookkeeping and accounting management.

Our CPA "controller" will visit and get to know you and your business, review your operations from a financial and accounting standpoint, then propose solutions and strategies to assist you in maximizing profits, and running a more effective and efficient business.

Nontraditional Engagement
Most clients request typical accounting or audit services.

Some, however have specific needs that cannot be met by a traditional compilation, review or audit of financial statements.

For instance a bank might ask for an audit of your financial statements, when it really only needs assurance on your receivables and inventory that serve as collateral for a loan; or a you may have a specific objective in mind, but not a specific service.

We can provide advice as to the most appropriate type of service that will meet your needs.
